 Fatal shooting in Bob Carr's street
A MAN fatally wounded by a shot to the head in Sydney's east yesterday was known to police, who are investigating if drugs or bikie gangs were involved. A number of people in a house in French Street, Maroubra, heard a single gunshot about 5.30pm (AEDT) yesterday and raised the alarm.
Paramedics found 43-year-old Brook King, in a granny flat underneath the house, with a single wound to his head.
Former NSW premier Bob Carr lives in the same street.
An ambulance took the critically injured man to St Vincent's hospital, where he underwent emergency treatment but died on Friday morning.
